The Czech Suzuki Association welcomed Helen Brunner, ESA Violin Teacher Trainer, to the Czech Republic for a short visit from April 7-9, 2017.

Helen's visit began in Prague at the Dobeška Theatre where she gave an interview about the SUZUKI™ Method in general and its growing potential in the Czech Republic. This interview will form a part of the video about the Prague Suzuki Studio.

Helen then led the Pre-Twinkle and Book 1 Group which consisted of 32 children aged from 3 years from the Violin class of Jana Hrabaňová and Martina Pudelová.  Afterwards, some children on Book 1 had an individual lesson with Helen,  whilst other children and their parents observed and listened.  Helen spoke and gave advice to all children, parents and teachers.  After the break, 7 children on Books 2 and 3 had their Group Lesson and a Masterclass. The piano accompaniment was provided by the excellent pianist and also a Suzuki parent Petra Maťějová.

On the second day the Prague Suzuki Group performed at the Brno Conservatory Educational Program for teachers - “String Saturdays”.  Helen introduced the SUZUKI™ Method to over 40 Violin, Viola and Cello teachers.  She played some video excerpts from the Suzuki Gala Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, London and then she led demonstration individual and group lessons.  At the end of the presentation, Helen and Jana Hrabaňová mentioned the possibility of future Suzuki Teacher Training Programs taking place in Prague or Brno and invited teachers to join.

Helen spent the last day of her visit giving individual masterclasses for Pre-Twinkle children and students up to Book 3. The whole weekend was truly inspirational and the Czech Republic are very excited about the SUZUKI™ Method.
