Elżbieta Węgrzyn graduated from Academy of Music in Krakow in 1999. She was a violinist of incredible abilities, but her life’s choice has always been to teach children.

In 2001 she began her studies under the direction of T.Detrekoy and A.Podhajska – it was the first Suzuki method training in Poland and the beginning of her pedagogical work using the Suzuki method.

We shall remember her as an energetic, funny person, who was always prepared and ready for action and had a big smile on her face. Soon she opened a school which gathered both the children as well as parents willing to learn a method which was at the time unknown in Poland. Thanks to her organisational skills many national and international Suzuki workshops took place.

From the very beginning she inspired and motivated her colleagues to develop their pedagogical potential, which resulted in her obtaining the rank of a teacher trainer.

She loved to teach all the children without exceptions. Always full of pedagogical ideas and plans, she sought to pursue them.

Unfortunately she was defeated by a long-term illness. She died on the 31st of January, 2022.

We shall always remember her optimism, strength in overcoming obstacles and love for violin and music.
