The International Suzuki Association (ISA) was designated by Dr Suzuki as the sole authorised organisation which can grant rights to the use of his name and the terms ‘Suzuki’ and ‘Suzuki Method’.

The ESA is one of five Regional Associations within the ISA which have been granted the rights to coordinate and develop the Suzuki Method  throughout their area.

The ESA has, in turn, been given rights to grant sub-licenses to National Associations within their region.  Only qualified teachers who are members of National Suzuki Associations have the legal right to call themselves 'Suzuki teachers'.
