ITALY, FRANCE and IRELAND come together to perform in PARIS, FranceThe Suzuki School from Varese and the association ImmaginArte organised an international twinning in Paris, involving Suzuki schools from three different countries - Italy, France and Ireland.
Six Suzuki schools all joined together to form the I Piccoli Musici Estensi Orchestra.

Two concerts took place in Paris
Monday 23rd April 2012 at 16.00hrs in the beautiful Madeleine Church.

Tuesday 24th April 2012 at 19.30hrs under the patronage of UNESCO, in the prestigious Unesco Palace Main Hall

One hundred children between 6 and 14 years old made up the Orchestra, including Violinists, Cellists, Harpists and Pianists.
More than one hundred and eighty children from the Leonardo da Vinci School in Paris made up the choir.
The concert programme was divided in two parts -
-
the first part included pieces from the Suzuki repertoire taken from different Suzuki instrumental books
-
the second part, performed by the older students, included pieces from the Baroque repertoire, such as Vivaldi, Purcell and Handel.
All the children of the Orchestra and the Choir came together to perform the finale. The spectable of three hundred children on stage and their performanace of Shalom and Twinke Twinkle was very well received with thunderous applause by an audience of over two thousand.
Shalom was performed as a message of peace and friendship.
A modern revision of the traditional tuneTwinkle Twinkle composed by Francesco Cerrato, was played in honour of Maestro Shinichi Suzuki.
