Charitable objects:

'to advance the education of the public, particularly children and young people, about all aspects of the teaching methods, philosophy and practices of Dr Shinichi Suzuki in Europe and elsewhere.'

Background and history

The Trust was first established on the initiative of individual members of the European Suzuki Association Limited, led by Dr Haukur F. Hannesson, in response to enquiries from musicians in Eastern European Countries in the early 1990s. There was a great deal of interest in Suzuki education, but no funding available for teachers to travel to countries which provided Suzuki teacher training. The Trust was formally established in 1994.

In 2002 a new Trust Deed was drawn up and the Trust became a Registered Charity.
